Kimberly C. Vaughn was born and raised in Nashville, TN. Kimberly graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. She later went on to receive her ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification (ACSM-C-EP). She continued her education by attending Cumberland Institute of Holistic Therapies were she received her massage therapy training. She has experience with various modalities such as Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Acupressure, Sports Massage, Fascia Release and Prenatal Massage. Kimberly is a doula and birthing assistant certified through B.A.B.Y INC.
The foundation for her interest in fitness was grounded in her love of dance. With 20 plus years of experience under her belt, Kimberly has the ability to perform and teach various style of movement such as Tap, Jazz, Ballet, West African, Yoga, Pilates, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Tumbling, Praise Dance, and Aerobics. While attending Middle Tennessee State University, she was a member of Middle Tennessee State University Performing Arts Company where Kimberly participated in the Black College Dance Exchange program in Dallas, TX. Her busy schedule also included choreographing routines a couple of dance studios in the Nashville area as well as, Platinum Dance Studio in Lebanon TN. Her love for dance expanded to the world of health and wellness allowing her to add an element of the Arts into Fitness.
In Kimberly's search to find her passion in life, she longed for a career that linked her multiple skills and needed to help others. After exploring various job fields, she came across a natural talent for massage therapy. She is a strong advocate for living a holistic way of life and natural healing or alternative medicine. With her fitness background, she recommends athletes of any kind to receive massages as a means to heal rapidly and prevent injury. She often encourages every client to take on active lifestyles, healthier eating habits as well as taking out time for self-care.
